2009 (summer)

To further enhance the player experience, a major refurbishment programme was supervised by architect Gary Stephenson. Every tee was rebuilt or relocated to improve drainage, turf conditions and/or hole playability. The project also included new state-of-the-art irrigation and drainage systems.

The course immediately tests the golfer with classic links revetted bunkers and the occasional meandering stream. Home to Open qualifying for the 2010 Open, The Torrance is a test for tour professionals and amateur golfers. From beautiful sea views to intricate USGA greens, the course is one of Scotland’s finest.

Host to the Vagliano Trophy and other international events, the Torrance course has been expertly designed by the winning Ryder Cup Captain, Sam Torrance and the legendary Gene Sarazen. The Torrance is a firm favourite amongst corporate and group bookings.
