____________________________________________

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship will be played in Scotland from Thursday October 4 to Sunday October 7, 2007. This celebration of links golf is a 72-hole stroke play pro-am tournament played over three of the world's most spectacular links courses: the Old Course at St Andrews, along with its near neighbours Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.

The championship has featured some of the best golfers in the world including last year’s winner Padraig Harrington, plus previous winners Colin Montgomerie, Paul Lawrie, Lee Westwood and Stephen Gallacher, as well as Ernie Els, Steve Elkington, Retief Goosen, Darren Clarke, Vijay Singh, Nick Price and Thomas Bjorn.

The pro-am format also regularly attracts other big names from the worlds of sport and entertainment including Michael Douglas, Kevin Costner, Samuel L Jackson, Dennis Hopper, Ian Botham, Hugh Grant, Jodie Kidd, Boris Becker and Gary Lineker.

Carrying on the tradition of excellence set by the Alfred Dunhill Cup, which was played over the Old Course for sixteen years prior to The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, this new tournament has established itself as a unique event on the golfing calendar and is always guaranteed to provide a thrilling week of golfing entertainment.
